Vybz Kartel Drops New Single “Drone Dem”
Vybz Kartel gave a little teaser for his new song “Drone Dem,” and it’s all Gazanation fans are talking about.
The dancehall artist posted the less than 15 seconds clip on his Instagram page, and in about 13 hours it has already gained over 69 thousand views. This just signifies the reach and huge fanbase the Worl’boss has. The cover art depicts Vybz Kartel in all his glory, smoking while drones fly in the sky. The post was captioned, “Di #Drone a land Friday 13th #EVERYWHERE and on [Vybz Kartel radio].”
He sings, “What if this is all we have, Canterbury/ Rise up the weed oh yeah.” He has received a monumental reaction to this little snippet, with many fans lining the comment section with fire emojis.
“How u mean mi Teacha Caah bloodcl** wait….. U know how long u nuh drop one a dem weed song deh since #Marie / This a the only Friday the 13th mi ago Eva excited bout / Me not even hear it yet and a the biggest tune fi the year” Another fan, who seems to have the inside scoop, comments, “Light up di weed OH YEA.DAWG NTN NUH DEYA FI COKE HEAD. SPLIFF WEH ME A ROLL BIGGA DAN A BROWN BREAD…. @vybzkartel na gi dem nuh more! . To which Vybz Kartel responds, “sshhh!.”
The ‘Teacha’ was recently dubbed as a Dancehall God by well-known selector, DJ Nicco. He stated, “As new artiste come and go, the music evolves around Vybz Kartel.” This is undoubtedly true and very evident in his ability to release seconds worth of a track and have everyone going crazy.
He barely sings one bar. He was also placed in the middle of the on-going feud between artistes Alkaline and Squash, leader of the 6IX Camp. Squash posted an old video of Vybz Kartel deejaying “Caan breed nuttn,” which is a hit at Alkaline who is yet to have a child.
